Frequently asked
questions
Straight answers for small-load moves on the New York ↔ Florida corridor. If your question is not here, support is one message away.
Pricing & quote
How is the price calculated?
For most items we use Width × Height × Length in inches × 0.015, with a $60 minimum per custom item. Standard medium boxes are $70 each. Interior doors are $150 flat. TVs: under 64" $100, over 65" $150, over 80" $200. The final quote also considers stairs, elevator access, long carries and distance. Every move has a $150 minimum.
What is the $150 move minimum?
The $150 minimum is the smallest charge for any move. If the calculated item total is below $150, the final price becomes $150. If the item total is above $150, you pay the calculated total.
Is the price fixed after booking?
Yes. Once the inventory, addresses and access are confirmed, the price is written into the contract as a binding estimate. It does not change on moving day unless the inventory or access changes.
Do you charge a deposit?
Deposit terms are confirmed with your booking. You always see the price before we ask for payment details — and the figure is fixed in the contract once inventory and access are confirmed.
Do you move full houses or local NYC jobs?
No. We specialize in small loads long distance on I-95 — from one item to a studio between the New York metro and Florida. We are not local “movers near me,” and we are not a full-house van line.
Booking & schedule
How far in advance should I book?
For shared-load departures, 3–5 days is usually enough. For dates at the end of the month or around holidays, a week or more is safer. Peak southbound months (September–January) fill earlier.
Can I choose exact pickup and delivery dates?
You choose the pickup date on a published departure. Direct Express delivers in 1–3 days; Shared Load in about 5–7 days. We confirm the exact window after booking.
What if I need to reschedule?
Call or message us with your booking code as soon as you know. If the van has not left the origin city, we can usually move the date at no charge. Last-minute changes may be limited by open slots.
How do shared loads work?
The van carries several small loads on the same trip. Each load is kept separate, inventoried and delivered to its own address. Shared loads cost less than a dedicated truck because the route is shared.
Pickup & delivery
What areas do you serve?
We run small loads on the I-95 corridor between the New York metro and Florida — including New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, DC, Virginia, the Carolinas and Georgia stops along the way. See New York to Florida movers for the main route.
Do I need to be present for pickup and delivery?
Yes. The driver needs a contact person at both ends to sign the inventory and release the items. If you cannot be there, a designated adult with your booking code may sign in your place.
How do you handle stairs, elevators and walk-ups?
We plan building access before the van arrives. Stairs, elevators, loading docks and long carries are factored into the quote. Let us know about walk-ups, narrow halls or time windows when you book.
What is the delivery window?
Direct Express: 1–3 days from pickup. Shared Load: about 5–7 days. Your exact window is confirmed after booking and shown with your tracking code.
Items & packing
What items do you move?
We move household items, office furniture, boxes, bins, rugs, mirrors, lamps, small appliances, student loads and interior doors. We do not move hazardous materials, firearms, perishable food or live plants.
Do I pack myself or do you pack?
Most customers pack boxes themselves. We provide the padding, edge protection and secure loading in the van. If you need full packing help, mention it in your booking notes and we can quote it.
How do you protect fragile items?
Fragile pieces get furniture pads, edge protection and careful stacking. Glass, dishes, lamps and framed art are secured separately and never crushed by heavy items.
Can I move a TV, artwork or an interior door?
Yes. TVs are flat-rate by screen size: under 64" $100, over 65" $150, over 80" $200 — original boxes help. Artwork should be in original boxes if possible. Interior doors are a flat $150 each and do not need dimensions. Let us know about especially large or heavy pieces.
Insurance & claims
Are my items insured?
Basic carrier liability is included. Additional valuation coverage is available for high-value items. Ask for details when you request a quote if you have artwork, antiques or electronics worth more than $500 per item.
What is a Certificate of Insurance (COI)?
A COI is proof that we carry the insurance your co-op or condo board requires. We file it within 24 hours, free of charge. Include the building name and management contact in your booking notes.
What if something is damaged?
Document the damage and send photos with your booking code within 24 hours of delivery. We review every claim directly and do not route you through a third party.
Tracking & account
How do I track my move?
Every booking gets a tracking code like DM-7A3F. Enter it on the Track page to see pickup, transit and delivery status without calling.
Where do I find my booking code?
Your booking code is in the confirmation email and text message sent after you book. It is also shown on the booking receipt.
How do I contact support?
Call +1 (718) 200-4637 or use the contact form on the Support page. Include your booking code so we can pull up your move instantly.
How it works
A few photos, a list, a fixed price.
Send the items you want to move. We confirm the size, access and route, then lock the price in the contract. The same van and driver takes it from pickup to delivery.
